More Than Enough

Updated: Feb 7, 2021

Are you the kind of person with a scarcity mentality? Always worrying that there won't be enough or that you'll miss out? This blogpost is just for you, read to find out why

Hey, welcome to your journey to success. Oh yes! You’re an unfolding success story and I'm privileged to have you on this journey. My aim is to equip you with truth and tools to lead you to your next level of success because you are full of potential, big dreams, and enormous value that can't be ignored! I sure can't wait for the world to witness your greatness.

Expecting the same ol' same ol'....... It was just another ordinary day for him

Acts 3:5-6 - So the man gave him his attention, expecting to get something from them. Then Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth , walk."

The crippled man at the gate called Beautiful was at the same spot expecting the same ol' same ol'. It was just another ordinary day for him.

He looked up to people to have mercy on him by giving alms because of his physical condition.

The Miracle

It then happened that Peter and John were passing by and as usual the crippled man asked for their help. Peter and John had been with Jesus for three years and they saw Him perform the miraculous and right at this moment what this crippled man needed was a miracle not money.

It was a good thing that Peter and John didn't have anything on them for had they, the crippled man may have never walked.

In faith Peter looked at the crippled man and uttered the famous quote, "Silver or gold have I none but in the name of Jesus rise up and walk."

I can imagine the crippled man's disappointment when Peter told him he had nothing to give him only to hear in the name of Jesus rise up and walk. Bummer!

This crippled man probably didn't know Jesus and even if he did, he didn't have faith in His name. Nevertheless, Jesus name was invoked and to the crippled man's amazement he stood up, leaped and praised God!

The crippled man received on that day a greater reward than money, he received his walking ability.

Did this man think he could ever walk again? I don't think he did, not even in his wildest dreams could such an eventuality happen but against all odds it did!

You see my friend, this is what God always has planned for us. We may be going through the motions of life, through the vicissitudes of everyday life just getting by, putting up with what the day brings and just settling for the ordinary.

Even as Christians we forget that we serve the Almighty God the creator of the universe! We just go along, we just go with the flow.

But we need to do ourselves a favor and remember that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is our God too!

Amazing Facts!

Just in case you forgot, here are a few amazing ground-breaking facts about Him.

  • He divided the Red sea

  • He walked on water

  • He rose from the dead and brought others back to life

And in the story before us, through His disciples the lame man walked.

God isn't limited by present circumstances my dearly beloved, He is above and beyond the natural, He can change your situation in the blink of an eye and He does that because He is God.

When we pray, we pray according to what we have seen life offer and then expect God to answer our prayers according to our finite expectations.

However, God is great and He does abundantly, exceedingly above all we could ask or imagine. Just like the crippled man, he was just expecting money and so too we just expect the usual.

I like what I once heard Joel Osteen say, take the limits off of God, let Him do the miraculous in your life. Beloved, let us stretch our faith and believe God for the incredible, God will not shun you and me for being so bold as to ask for He takes great delight in hearing the voice of His children.

We are encouraged to go boldly to God in order to receive mercy and grace. Therefore, let us approach God with expectancy that He will do more than anticipated, that he will give more than enough!

No more living in fear of lack or in keeping with a scarcity mentality but to live with a mindset of abundance and knowledge of there's always more than enough.
